Self-Reflection on Transdisciplinary (TD) Approach

Welcome to the SciCultureD’s Self-Reflection Tool!

The SciCultureD’s vision for a creative and innovative Higher Education Unit based on transdisciplinarity is the development of a creative and innovative collaborative procedure, the T-D’ Lab, in which education relies on a transdisciplinary methodology within an entrepreneurship and design thinking framework.

SciCultureD is exploring how HEI units can move from self-reflection to developing a comprehensive plan of action that utilizes the results of a pre-post self-reflection process related to the effectiveness of transdisciplinary approaches.

The self-reflection approach is relying on already established and validated methodologies building on the NEXT STEP’s Self-Reflection tool that is measuring the transdisciplinarity of school units related with STEAM approaches that are followed.

In this framework the SciCultureD project designed and set in operation the Transdisciplinary Lab, an innovative learning environment which will be the nucleus of the Unit’s transdisciplinary, creative and innovative activities.

The HEI’s Unit status to trans-disciplinarity between the two measurements will be the reference point for the overall intervention of the project.

The Unit profiling tool will be used to profile the TD status of the HEI's unit involved and to visualize the different elements of the individual unit’s transdisciplinary profile for the HEI’s unit head. The unit transdisciplinary planning-recommending system, included in this tool, will be used to provide recommendations (and track the implemented transdisciplinary approach pathway) to unit heads and staff for strategic Unit transdisciplinary changes based on the Unit profile.

Before you start this journey in trans-disciplinarity, please take few minutes to read the instructions.

In the following document you will find information about the SciCultureD transdisciplinary (TD) Approach as well as short instructions on how to use the Self-Reflection Tool.
